First Arriving Wins Silver, Bronze Telly Awards for Volunteer Recruitment Videos in Maryland, South Carolina

Silver Telly Award - Firefighter Recruitment

May 21, 2019 — First Arriving was recognized by the 40th Annual Telly Awards for its recent video production work promoting the volunteer fire and rescue service in Maryland and South Carolina.

The “Join Maryland’s Volunteer Fire/EMS Service” production was awarded a Silver Telly in the Branded Content – Social Responsibility or Not-for-Profit category. The series of videos was produced for the Maryland State Fireman’s Association, and funded by FEMA’s SAFER federal grant program for volunteer firefighter recruitment.

A Bronze Telly was awarded to First Arriving for its “All Walks of Life” video for the South Carolina State Firefighters’ Association, also a federally funded volunteer recruitment program. The 15 & 30 second spot was recognized in the Social Media Commercial – Public Service & Activism category. A version of the video was also produced in Maryland and is among the biggest drivers of recruitment interest for the statewide campaigns.”We are thrilled to be recognized by the Telly Awards for these recruitment projects which not only were an amazing experience for our team to work on, but more importantly had a significant positive impact on the awareness of the volunteer fire and EMS service in Maryland and South Carolina,” First Arriving CEO Dave Iannone said.

The videos were an integral part of the two states’ year-long volunteer recruitment efforts which drove nearly 6,000 combined recruitment leads by prospective volunteers.
