To achieve the goals of the department, First Arriving created a website that focuses on recruitment but also adds to the overall user experience so that anyone interested in volunteering has an easy experience finding information.
“We got the site to show the public who we are and what we do, to get them familiar with events that we do,” Alek Kozuchowski, lieutenant responsible for the website launch, said.
Kozuchowski reached out to First Arriving and he received examples of First Arriving’s previous work. After reviewing a few recent launches, he knew he had found the perfect partner to meet the department’s goals.
“There were a lot of user-friendly options and designs,” Kozuchowski said. “The process from there was easy. We knew up front what we had to get done.”
HBVAC runs about 1600 calls a year and the new website has helped in creating more brand awareness throughout the community for the department.
“The people that I have spoken to have said that its [website] easy to use and it looks great. Everybody seems to enjoy it.”
