Their staff provides emergency medical service to a population of approximately 30,000 citizens who reside in a 16 square mile area of Suffolk County, as well as 1 million yearly visitors of the Port Jefferson Village, 30,000 daily commuters of the Long Island Rail Road – Port Jefferson Branch, 2400 students, and faculty of 3 school districts, 7 apartment complexes, 1-500 apartment over 55 complexes, and 2-250 bed hospitals.
